First amendment obsurdity yet again!

First amendment absurdity yet again!

I get soooo tired of some Americans  using their First Amendment rights as an excuse for bad behaviour and decisions.

Why is it ok for students to talk 'out of school' about their teachers and principle etc... and post obscenities on the net for anyone anywhere in the world to read thereby invading privacy and the target's First Amendment rights, yet not ok for teachers to do likewise? And no, I don't agree that either side should be allowed!

This is yet again another case of  First Amendment rights absurdly being adhered to for no other reason than it can. Common sense out the window and good manners and respect on either side completely non existent. Teaching kids their rights without responsibilities is yet another reason kids find themselves in trouble! Adults getting into trouble for the very same thing kids are thumbing their noses at; all with the approval of the courts. No wonder young adults are so confused! They'll continue with this mindset into adulthood and wonder why they're being sued for overstepping personal boundaries whenever the courts decide the time is right - and lets face it, if it wasn't for the First Amendment America's  lawyers would be out of business.

But then ironically maybe that's the point!

Dying for world condemnation

While the world watches the events unfolding in the disputed area of Golan Heights, one has to ask the question, "Where is the world condemnation?" Benjamin Netanyahu's comment, "Unfortunately, extremist forces around us are trying today to breach our borders and threaten our communities and our citizens. We will not let them do that." seems to be all that the political world needs to sit back and watch in silence. Yet other countries trying to enforce their borders peacefully - without gunfire or death are met with loud cries of human rights violations. Look at the situations in countries such as Italy, France and Australia. All continually trying to head off and deal peacefully with a huge influx of refugees, who's identities and intentions are  unknown. All consistently in the firing line of  human rights groups from within and without, yet none of these countries have been known to intentionally and willfully open fire on these "extremist forces....... trying today to breach our borders and threaten our communities and our citizens".  When will the rest of the world stop kowtowing to Netanyahu and his bully boy tactics and stop the Israeli government doing unto others as they have had done to them?

Sorting out the real Australians.

''Foreign troops shouldn't be in our country."

- "Our country"? Which country is she referring to?
She lives in Australia but is complaining about her compatriots helping Australian soldiers in Iraq. Maybe it's about time she worked out which country/alliance she belongs to and heads back there!
Keep the Iraqi interpreters and their families - they are the 'real' Aussies and send back the nationalists of  'foreign' countries since their alliance is obviously not with the country who has offered them shelter or the brave men and women who have helped defend their freedom.
